Taxes 2004

Looks like SmartMoney.com has a pretty good section on taxes. Nice article on avoiding audits, too.

Now if only the kids at TaxCut would update my state tax program, I'd be all done with my taxes for 2004. I'm expecting to get a refund of maybe $30-$50 from Uncle Sam, and owe who-knows-how-much to my state ($300? $400?). Both of which are fine; my goal with taxes is to get as close to breakeven as possible each year.
